Untymed is built around local-first tracking. This Privacy Policy explains what data stays on your device, what may be processed when you choose cloud-based features, and how Untymed handles information related to subscriptions, support, and optional services.

  • Untymed does not sell your personal data.
  • Cloud import only happens when you choose to use it.

Data Stored On Your Device

Untymed stores your transactions, work configuration, categories, tags, preferences, app settings, and related ledger data primarily on your device.

Manual entries, local calculations, and app personalization are used to:

  • calculate the work-time cost of purchases,
  • display your ledger and life meter,
  • generate insights and summaries,
  • and keep the app configured the way you set it up.

Untymed is designed to function without requiring a bank connection or continuous cloud synchronization.

No Bank Connection

Untymed does not connect directly to your bank, does not request online banking credentials, and does not continuously pull transaction history from financial institutions.

Any financial information added to Untymed is entered manually, imported by you, or restored from your backups.

Cloud Import

If you choose to use receipt or statement import features that rely on cloud processing, the selected file may be securely uploaded to Untymed's backend or service providers for OCR, parsing, extraction, and import preparation.

Cloud import is used only when you initiate an import action.

Uploaded files may contain:

  • transaction details,
  • merchant names,
  • dates,
  • amounts,
  • account fragments printed on statements,
  • and other text visible within the uploaded document.

Untymed uses this information solely to generate transaction candidates and import suggestions for your review.

Untymed does not use uploaded documents or transaction data for advertising, profiling, or cross-service tracking.

Data transmitted during cloud import is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.

Imported files and extracted text are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to process imports, maintain security, debug failures, comply with legal obligations, or handle support requests. Where possible, temporary import data is automatically deleted after processing.

iCloud Backup And Sync

Untymed may use Apple's iCloud services to back up or synchronize your app data across devices associated with your Apple account.

If iCloud features are enabled on your device, your Untymed data may be stored within your personal iCloud account and managed through Apple's infrastructure and security systems.

iCloud functionality is subject to Apple's terms, privacy practices, and device settings. You can manage iCloud access and backup behavior through your Apple device settings.

Untymed does not control Apple's infrastructure or independent handling of iCloud-stored data.

Purchases And Subscriptions

Untymed Pro purchases and subscriptions are processed through the App Store.

Untymed does not receive or store your full payment card information.

Untymed may process or store limited purchase-related information necessary to:

  • verify subscriptions,
  • restore purchases,
  • unlock paid features,
  • manage account access,
  • and prevent abuse or fraud.

This may include subscription status, receipt data, transaction identifiers, and related metadata provided by Apple.

Website And Email

The Untymed website is primarily a static product and informational website.

Untymed does not use advertising trackers or third-party ad networks on the website.

If you contact Untymed by email, we will receive your email address and any information you include in your message. That information is used only to respond to inquiries, provide support, or manage related requests.

Analytics And Diagnostics

Untymed does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Untymed does not sell personal data or share personal information with data brokers.

If analytics, crash reporting, or diagnostics tools are introduced in future versions of Untymed, this Privacy Policy and related App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before release.

How We Use Data

Untymed may use data to:

  • operate and maintain the app,
  • calculate purchase time costs and insights,
  • process imports requested by you,
  • restore and manage subscriptions,
  • synchronize or restore backups,
  • respond to support requests,
  • improve reliability and security,
  • debug technical problems,
  • and comply with legal obligations.

Sharing

Untymed may share limited data with service providers who help operate the app, such as providers related to:

  • cloud hosting,
  • OCR and parsing,
  • infrastructure,
  • email delivery,
  • analytics or diagnostics,
  • subscription verification,
  • or customer support.

These providers are permitted to process data only to provide services for Untymed and are required to protect it consistently with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Untymed may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and security, investigate abuse or fraud, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or similar business transaction.

Retention And Deletion

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, remove the app, erase your device, or disable related backups.

Because Untymed is designed around local-first storage, deleted manual entries may not be recoverable unless included in an available backup.

Cloud-processed import files and related extracted data are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for processing, support, debugging, security, and legal compliance purposes.

You may request deletion of data held by Untymed by contacting hello@untymed.com.

Security

Untymed uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect data processed by the app and related services.

However, no device, application, transmission method, or cloud service can guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Untymed is not directed to children under 13, and Untymed does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through Untymed, please contact us so appropriate action can be taken.

Your Rights And Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights related to your personal data, including:

  • access,
  • correction,
  • deletion,
  • restriction,
  • objection,
  • and data portability.

You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and similar jurisdictions may also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

You may choose to:

  • avoid using cloud import,
  • disable iCloud features,
  • delete local entries,
  • export your data,
  • or remove the app from your device at any time.

To make a privacy-related request, contact hello@untymed.com.

Changes To This Policy

Untymed may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves.

If material changes are made, the updated policy will be made available within the app, on the website, or through other appropriate notice.

Continued use of Untymed after changes become effective may constitute acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
